K-1 at Roots School
taught by artist and teacher Eleykaa Tully
Historically, Lahaina Arts Society had provided free, on-site art classes and activities to children living in Maui County. Classes began at the Banyan Tree Gallery and the Old Jail Gallery in the historic Old Lahaina Courthouse in the 1970s, and the Lahaina Arts Guild continues this tradition with our local artists as teachers and mentors for our Keiki.
At present, the free children's art classes will be held in Lahaina starting in January at the Cannery Mall. To see dates and register for upcoming classes, click on the Classes page and fill out the registration form. Not only will your keiki benefit from learning and enjoying new forms of art but we plan to display some of the artwork in one of our two Courthouse galleries under the Banyan Tree.
